About Me

Most of my life runs on two engines: building things and getting obsessed with things. Sometimes those are the same thing. I’ll stumble into an idea like “this should exist” or “this would be fun,” and next thing I know I’m sketching flows, naming features, arguing with myself about UX, and convincing my free time to cooperate. I make small apps, prototypes, tools, and game concepts mostly because I enjoy the feeling of taking something fuzzy in my head and making it real enough to click, break, and improve. I like the messy middle where you don’t fully know what you’re making yet, but you can feel it getting sharper.

Professionally, I work in finance transformation and analytics, which is a fancy way of saying I spend a lot of time turning complicated systems into something people can actually use, trust, and repeat. I live in that intersection of “the numbers have to be right” and “the process has to make sense,” and I genuinely enjoy when a workflow stops being painful and starts being clean. I’m not here to pretend I’m a robot about it though. I like structure because it gives me room to play. If I can automate something, simplify something, or make a dashboard that makes someone’s day easier, that hits the same part of my brain as finishing a side project.

At home, I’m a husband and a dad, which has rearranged my life in the best way and also exposed every ounce of my delusional optimism about time management. I still make things, but now it’s in the pockets of time you fight for and protect. That’s part of why this site exists: it’s a place to keep my personal momentum visible to myself. A record of “I’m still me,” even as life gets louder and bigger.

Outside of building, I’m a collector of favorites. Games, anime, movies, and anything with strong execution. I’m not “curating” like I’m operating a gallery. I’m just a nerd with opinions who likes having a running list of what hits and why. Tier lists are my way of keeping receipts on my own taste. Sometimes my taste is consistent. Sometimes I change my mind hard. Sometimes something I loved five years ago doesn’t hold up, and sometimes something I ignored becomes a new obsession. That evolution is the point. I’m not trying to be definitive, I’m trying to be honest.

What you’ll find here is a mix of side quests and personal notes. Some posts are devlogs or postmortems. Some are me talking through an idea until it becomes a real plan. Some are reviews and rankings that are basically me explaining why something works on me at the system level, the story level, or the “this just makes my brain light up” level. I can be detailed. I can be petty. I can be sentimental. It depends on the day and the thing.

If you’re here for projects, you’ll see experiments in progress and little builds I’m proud of. If you’re here for tier lists, you’ll see a constantly-updating map of what I’m into. Either way, this is a personal space first. It’s not a client portfolio and it’s not a business pitch. It’s me, in public, trying to keep my hands moving and my brain entertained.
